Veterans whose claims weren't filed can get help at benefits clinic in Buchanan Friday
Many veterans in our area say they were misled by a woman, who said she was working as their advocate.
Charlotte Krantz was working from a storefront on Main Street in Buchanan, offering to help veterans apply for benefits.
Several vets say she failed to represent their interests with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Help is now available for those affected veterans.
They can attend an upcoming Veteran Claims Clinic, where they can file claims and ask questions about benefits.
The Roanoke Regional Benefits Office is hosting the clinic for veterans and family members Friday, May 27 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Buchanan Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
