The roll call vote is over and Hillary Clinton is now the official Democratic presidential nominee.

That historical significance will resonate with many voters, according to WDBJ7 political analyst Dr. Bob Denton.

Denton adds that Clinton's choice of Virginia Senator Tim Kaine as her running mate should also help her image with many.

Kaine is set to speak Wednesday night at the convention.

One thing Denton says that might hurt Clinton's chances in November, is the Bernie Sanders factor.

Although Sanders played a major role in the roll call vote, dozens of his supporters staged a walk-out at the convention Tuesday night.
