Missing 6-month-old located; mother charged with abduction

SMYTH COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - UPDATE: 6-month-old Lyric Poston has been located and reported safe as of Sunday, according to deputies. Her mother has been charged for her disappearance.
Mackenzie Poston has been charged with one felony count of attempted abduction and one misdemeanor count of obstruction of justice.
Custody of the 6-month-old was turned over to the Smyth County Department of Social Services.
ORIGINAL STORY: According to deputies, Lyric Poston was last reported seen Wednesday, September 13 with Mackenzie Poston, 30, on Dry Creek Road.
Poston is described as a white baby girl with brown eyes and brown hair.
An investigative agency says the infant’s disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety.
Anyone with information on Poston’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Smith County Sheriff’s Office at 276-783-7204.
