Showers pass through Friday AM; more rain arrives late weekend
Tracking two rounds of rain to head our way
- Clouds will increase tonight
- Passing showers likely Friday morning
- Another round of rain pushes in to close out the weekend
Overnight lows will be in the 30s and low 40s with increasing clouds out in front of our next weather maker.
A better chance for rain returns during the morning hours of Black Friday. Most models are showing activity will be scattered across the WDBJ7 viewing area in the morning. It won’t be a bad idea to have the umbrella if you are doing any Black Friday shopping!
During the afternoon expect drier conditions and even some sun trying to build back in. Winds will be breezy at times especially in the afternoon. Temperatures will be mild on Friday with highs in the 50s and 60s.
This will be the first wave of showers before our second wave of rain moves through during the second part of the weekend.
Most hometowns will stay dry on Saturday. So wanting to hit the roads and head back home you should be good weather wise! Our second wave of rainfall arrives late Saturday and into the first half of Sunday. Widespread showers are likely by Sunday morning. Some lingering showers are possible into early afternoon, but most will see drier conditions building in. Expect highs in the 50s and low 60s both days.
Winds will once again be strong after this system passes through so on Monday we will start off our new work week breezy, but we should be dry! Highs next week will read slightly warmer than normal for this time of the year.
